Frequently Asked Questions
What is a beer burro?
-
The day of your event we will arrive ~45 minutes prior to the time that you would like for us to start serving your guests drinks. This time allows us to get the donkeys harnessed, ensure that they have settled in, gotten hydrated and are ready bring smiles to everyone’s faces!
-
Each Beer Burro will have their own handler. You or your event coordinator will need to make us aware of where to pick up drinks on our arrival so that we can get them on ice in the panniers. We will need a restocking station close by to allow for quick turn around as drinks go quickly!
-
Our adorable donkeys would love to surprise your guests during rehearsal dinner, ceremony, reception, or send the Bride and Groom off with a memorable surprise! The donkeys are capable of holding your party favors or even a late night snack.
What about hair and excrement?
-
Each burro is fitted with a custom “bun bag” similar to the bags that carriage horses wear to catch manure. While we can not guarantee that they will not urinate, however we will try our best to ensure that they have done their business prior to service time. As with most animals, we can’t guarantee you won’t find a stray hair on your clothes after interacting with the burros. We will ensure that we have lint rollers available to assist with the hairs if you so wish. Each burro will be bathed prior to the event as well.
How much weight can burros carry? Do the burros like their job?
-
Our donkeys LOVE people of all ages. They love treats and scratches and any sort of attention they receive. Donkeys are herd animals and enjoy being around each other and humans as well. If Nehi catches you squatting down, we can’t promise she won’t try to become your newest lap dog! Miniature burros shouldn’t carry more than 20%-25% and our animals do not carry more than 10%-12% of their limit.
